Meatballs with Sauce

For Meatballs:
1 lb of ground beef
Handful of chopped parsley
Handful of chopped basil
1 onion diced
1 egg
2 tbsp breadcrumbs
2 cloves of minced garlic
Salt
Pepper
Paprika

For Sauce:
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 or 3 ripe tomatoes, chopped
Handful of chopped basil
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup boiling water
Salt
Pepper
Paprika
Pinch of sugar

Put all the meatball ingredients into a bowl, mix well. Form into balls. Fry the meatballs in a skillet. When they turn brown remove from heat onto a plate.
To make the sauce:
Cook the garlic in the skillet about 30 seconds. Add tomatoes and basil, cover and cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Add tomato paste, boiling water and the rest of the spices, cover and cook on medium low for 20 minutes. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed. Return the meatballs into the skillet with sauce and cook it for 10 minutes.
